Strategic plan
Cara aims to be an agent of social improvement. To enable people to make a better life for themselves by improving the quality of life for people from the Irish community and the other communities we serve. We do this by providing high-quality housing and support services and making other people aware of need.
We review our five-year strategic plan each year to adapt to any changes that will affect our work.
These are our strategic objectives:
- To find partners to help our business grow. We must grow to meet the need for housing and support services but with as little financial risk as possible.
- To communicate better within Cara and with our users and partners.
- To provide high-quality and effective services through being willing to learn, co-operate and try new ideas.
- To ensure our services are realistic, efficient and of high quality wherever we work, and that they clearly improve our customers' quality of life and wellbeing.
- To ensure financial viability in all business areas by bringing in and using income more efficiently, and by controlling how much we spend.
- To constantly improve our services to customers.
- To keep all our properties in good condition, so that they never stand empty for long and can go on meeting the needs of tenants and service users over the long term.
- To develop unique services that meet the needs of different groups in new ways and adapt to their varied cultures.
